Are you an expert in PVC flooring and its related fields? Then join the EU project Circular Flooring for the Circular Flooring Days on 12 & 13 October 2023 in Freising, Germany. Seize this opportunity to get an insight into the market developments of PVC (recyclate) flooring and its recycling technologies. Circular Flooring aims to establish a circular recycling process for post-consumer PVC floor coverings. This stakeholder event is co-organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR).
At this year’s Circular Flooring Days, the project partners and technical experts will present the latest findings and developments on the following topics
- PVC waste generation
- PVC recycling technologies
- Perspective for plasticizers in Europe
- CreaSolv® process for PVC recycling
- Project status of Circular Flooring
One of the highlights of the event will be a guided tour through the Fraunhofer IVV laboratories and the CreaSolv® PVC recycling pilot plant.
The Circular Flooring project wants to recycle end-of-life PVC floor coverings by dissolving and removing specific substances in order to achieve a high quality virgin-like PVC material that is processed into granules. These are then ready for re-use in new floor covering products which are compliant with current EU legislation and contribute to a circular economy. Circular Flooring also aims at introducing the CreaSolv® process for PVC recycling on a technical scale.
